At the Boulder, Colorado Law Office of J. Scott McComas, I have been practicing as a Boulder criminal defense attorney since 1980.  For more than 25 years criminal defense has been my primary focus. As a Boulder DUI lawyer and criminal defense attorney, I am certified to practice in U.S. District Court District of Colorado, U.S. Federal Courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals 10th Circuit.

Prior to opening my private practice in 1980, I worked for the Boulder District Attorney’s Office. All told, I have been working in the legal field in the Boulder community since 1973. I know the local legal community well, which is a definite advantage.

In addition to being a busy Colorado criminal defense lawyer, I am also active in the community and have received awards from the Colorado Bar Association for pro bono work in 1986, 1990, 1991 and 1992.

In my free time, I enjoy feeling the freedom of the open road while cruising on my Harley-Davidson and am an active member of the Harley Owner’s Group (HOG).
